Bardon Apartment
This complete renovation of a 30-year-old apartment in a unique terraced building was designed to transform a neglected interior into a light-filled, welcoming home for its new owners. Key to the brief was a cook’s kitchen, an inviting sitting area with a fireplace, and a showpiece wine room. The updated kitchen now centres around an island facing the stunning city view. Natural stone, timber-look finishes and warm neutral tones add depth and softness, while structural concrete columns were hidden behind the splashback and cabinets.
Just beyond the kitchen, a double-sided fireplace now anchors a new sitting area, creating a quiet retreat that connects visually to the main living space. This zone is defined by a custom steel balustrade that offers both separation and openness. The glass-enclosed wine room at the opposite end of the space is designed to impress, using travertine-look tiles and integrated shelving for over 450 bottles. The outcome is an elevated home that invites entertaining and relaxing in equal measure.
Client Words
“We are so thankful for our fantastic kitchen. It is elegant, user friendly and a joy to cook in, Estelle was such a pleasure to work with. She looked at the area as a whole. Everything fits in well. The design makes the area extremely user friendly to work in. Estelle addressed budget, design colour, but ensured the design gave the best work flow. So happy to recommend.”
